Winnipeg Jets New York Jets Sleepwear Underwear center Mark Scheifele will be out six-to-eight weeks, the team announced Thursday.
Scheifele was injured on Wednesday in the second period when the Jets defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 4-3. With Scheifele and Oilers defenseman Brandon Davidson battling for a puck near the crease, Scheifele was shoved toward the boards, falling awkwardly on his right side. He remained on the ice for close to a minute before slowly skating off with aJets trainer.

Maurice said the Jets will not recall a forward from AHL Manitoba. There had been speculation if Winnipeg would promote Jack Roslovic to the NHL if Scheifele was out long-term.
