You may have noticed that I have been publishing many articles related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). It is not by accident rather the reality and the great importance of these disciplines. My job is to inspire the invention of the future. As a STEM proponent, I do so by challenging the limit of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. That is my passion.

|As a proponent of STEM, it deems imperative to reiterate the importance of STEM related fields. The greatest challenges of the world are new STEM insights and ideas. We live in ever changing world where data are transferred across oceans almost instantaneously and businesses take place around the clock. When we look back over the 20th century, American ingenuity, and innovation have been truly incredible. From Ford’s Model T in 1908, the washing machine in 1911, the refrigerator in 1924, the automated teller machine (ATM) in 1939, the personal computer in 1981, and many more. American innovations have truly transformed our lives. To maintain a solid industrial base, innovations will continue to be essential components. Innovations depend on solid knowledge base in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Without STEM knowledge base, innovation as well as our industrial base will erode. Why should you care?
Imagine for a second the commute you just took to work or the grocery store, the breakfast or lunch you ate, the TV show you just watched. There is nothing we do in our daily lives that has not involved STEM at some point. Therefore, STEM fields are fundamental components to the economic progress. It is essential that we ensure that there will be enough workers to meet demand as we move forward. To meet this demand requires that we get involved in STEM.
Do you ever wonder how the World Wide Web (WWW) comes to being? It is all the result of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In fact, the world as we know it today could be very different without STEM related fields.
In the absence of STEM modern technologies would have not been invented. The effects have been mind boggling. Of course, many do not realize that. The interconnections of these disciplines are essentials for a modern society. A great example is the Google map that many of us come to rely on to find places, directions. That is a striking example of mathematical equations hidden tools of our imaginations in action which uses advanced imaging algorithms. STEM individuals touch every angle of our lives at work, at home and in our sophisticated affairs everywhere else. The design of our bridges, the invention of our medicines, the architectural creation of our buildings, the development of the internet, and many more involve STEM workers.
While STEM education has received great attention, the academic and the business communities are engaged with several proposals. The time has come to get everyone involved, engaged in STEM through innovative, nationally-internationally STEM stimulated web-based network. By providing a platform to empower everyone to continue STEM, it can help address a nation’s STEM workforce, impact innovation and socio-economic development in the United States and across the globe.
